October Off to a Good Start
In a game marked by poor field conditions and even worse weather, the Lions defeated the Norwest Rams 6-0. The defensive struggle was scoreless after the first three quarters. Then J.G. Goldsmith hooked up with Caleb Kelley on a short TD pass to put us up 6-nothing. The defense, which had recovered five fumbles, made the lead stick. Recovering fumbles were Matt Philichi, John Samons, Cody Shoopman, Phil Truckey, and Jorginho Souza. Jack Harrington also made a key sack late in the game. Now we prepare for a strong Tacoma Panthers team, which is in the play off chase, next Saturday at Bellarmine.
